My grandmother was diagnosed with early on-set dementia and the decline seemed slow at first. She became more and more child-like which was both amazing and scary.
I was not in her circle of primary care givers yet it makes me think about what will happen as my mother ages. Thankfully, she's not many years older than me yet she is aging.
It also made me look at my choices and how what I do now can affect the care someone may need to give me in the future.
